Carbon Neutrality Transparency
In order to share greater transparency about our Carbon Neutral certification through the Change Climate Project, we are sharing the details of the projects that we supported by purchasing carbon offsets. By supporting these projects through carbon offset purchases, RepYourWater is helping to avoid and reduce carbon emissions and offset the company's carbon footprint.

Additional Information:
Project Name | Project Number | Description |
Hudson Tech HFC Reclamation Georgia | ACR819 |
Recovery of used refrigerants from HVAC and Fire Suppression Systems Refrigerants have transformed our society by providing ways to store and preserve food, medicine and other vital products. However, HFC’s are some of the most potent greenhouse gases on the planet – hundreds of times more powerful than carbon. The recovery of these these HFC’s reduces the production and release of virgin HFC’s into the atmosphere and the greenhouse gas reductions are permanent. |
Indian Bundled Wind Power Project | VCS1679 |
The main purpose of this project is to generate clean forms of electricity through renewable wind energy sources. The project involves the installation of a 100-megawatt wind farm in the state of Gujarat, India. Over the first ten years of its crediting period, the project will replace anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gasses (estimated to be approximately 172,333 tCO2e per year), thereon displacing 183,960 megawatt-hours/year of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Indian grid—itself dominated by thermal and fossil fuel-based power plants. In addition to expanding renewable wind energy production, this project offers myriad co-benefits, from local job creation to the assurance of higher quality air for those living within the Gujarat region, thanks to the prevention of environmental pollution from oil, gas, and coal-generated electricity. This project is both additional (it would not have happened without the carbon credit revenues that make the project financially attractive for investors) and permanent (the avoidance of the emissions that would have occurred from a non-renewable energy facility occur in perpetuity). |
Envira Amazonia | VCS1382 |
The Envira Amazonia Tropical Rainforest Conservation Project near Feijó in Acre, Brazil is VCS and CCB triple-gold certified. The project covers an area c. 39,300 hectares of tropical rainforest and foregoes forest conversion to grassland in favour of conserving the tropical forest. The Project preserves rich biodiversity and a wide range of ecosystem services; it benefits the local communities and mitigates the release of ~12.6 million metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions over the first 10 years of the Project. |
Rochelle Municipal Landfill | CAR13762 | The project voluntarily captures and destroys methane from the landfill via a system of gas wells, conveyance piping, and condensate removal equipment, and destroys the gas at either an open flare or an energy generation facility. The wellfield consists of an old cell (Unit 1) that is not eligible for carbon credits since it had prior gas destruction, and two newer cells. Unit 2 is closed and contains 32 vertical wells and 8 horizontal collectors. The Horizonal Expansion (containing multiple cells) is the active fill area and contains 12 vertical wells and 10 horizontal collectors with plans for significant expansion. There are a few collectors on the original Unit 1 which are connected to the gas collection system. Any methane collected from this cell is measured and deducted from the credits claimed by this project. The facility consists of three Caterpillar 3520C Gensets which combust landfill gas to produce up to 4800 kW of electricity that is delivered to the local power grid. |
